A look at the neglected issue of depression which caused the death of one of the world’s most beloved figures, Robin Williams.
This week one of the world’s most beloved public figures took his own life after battling severe depression. This terrible condition affects a staggering number of people and yet it is still largely ignored and misunderstood. My latest blog post looks at the way society perceives mental illness, and the way we all need to improve the way we deal with those who suffer from it. This is an issue very close to my heart that I believe is still painfully overlooked, to the point that such a high-profile figure could fail to receive the help and support he needed to prevent him from committing suicide. If Robin Williams slipped through the cracks, what must it be like for those who AREN’T famous?
Please give this a read guys, and if you agree with what I’ve said please share it with as many people as possible too. Thanks x
